Founded by Selena Needham, HEART Collective is the new face of the well-known counselling agency, HEART Counselling. We pride ourselves on our ever-growing diverse network of qualified professionals, including Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists. We currently have two teams looking after the needs of our clients.

At HEART we believe mental health support services should be available to anybody in need. Keeping up with the growing demand on services is always challenging and we are looking for new people to join our team.
Whether you are wanting to grow your private practice, or simply work a few hours a week, we can offer a range of options to suit your needs. We provide different levels of support depending on your needs and which team you join. We currently have two teams of therapists:

WHERE WE STARTED
Selena fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming a counsellor after a career in financial management, inspired by her own recovery from trauma, a terminal cancer diagnosis and a marriage marred in physical and emotional abuse. “I know first-hand that, against the odds, amid inter-generational trauma, it is possible to overcome the situations we find ourselves in and change patterns to live more of the life we long for.”
After completing a Bachelor of Applied Social Science in Counselling, Selena founded HEART Counselling in 2015. Her vision was to create an agency that would contribute to the healing of the whole family through supporting all generations on their journeys. Selena has a particular passion for supporting women to recover from the trauma of abuse so that they can live with greater freedom.
Selena is mum to five, and also Granmama to five. Speaking of family, Selena’s eldest child, Stacey, is HEART Collective's Practice Manager. Many of the therapists at HEART, completed their studies with Selena. This has made for a cohesive team providing a warm, welcoming environment.
